Nico Nico SS17

If there is one brand that we are specially fond of – besides all other brands we carry at Loja Dada for Kids – it is Nico Nico. A truly understated brand, with focus on simplicity, modern and comfortable cuts,  special colors and prints and environmentally conscious materials.

We said one post before this that the Bobo Choses campaign images were our favorite this season, but 5 minutes later we remembered “oh,  we forgot Nico Nico!” It’s hard to have a favorite when surrounded by so much loveliness.

Nico Nico designs comfortable and timeless styles. Quality, value and respect for the  environment are key values. All of their clothes are  designed and fabricated in  Los Angeles. We hope you and your little ones play, explore and relax in Nico Nico!

New brand at Loja Dada for Kids: I Dig Denim

It is our firm opinion that everybody needs good basics. And we are talking about quality here, not about clothes from the throw-away generation of clothes.

I Dig Denim is a brand from Sweden, created by Hanna Clavegard in 2009.

Quoting Hanna: “I have always loved jeans. Everything from the character of the fabric, to how it can be shaped and adapted according to style and taste. Denim is timeless, easy to wear and practical. With my brand I want to give children and women what I love – personal clothing that are made to feel comfortable in. It’s simple, I dig denim.”

The items from this brand are well-made, durable, well-fitted, coming from a company not producing in Europe, but operating under a strict code of ethics, similar to the one we are following as a retailer, when choosing our brands.

It is a persistent myth that children grow too fast, that clothes don’t fit long. Usually, kids clothes are used (intensively, yes, and this is why quality is important, too, because they are worn and washed all the time) during a fair amount of time, sometimes a very long amount of time. Maybe the most delicate part of clothing are pants, as kids (specially boys we hear) tend to tear the pants a lot (and that can be a problem!), but if you buy your clothing in the right size, usually we find it to last and get appreciated for long enough. And if in good condition you can still hand it over to family and friends!

As a shop-owner, mother and consumer, i find it it worth the effort buying the “good” items, buying less, but buying better quality, buying from smaller brands and retailers, but buying something special. And I Dig Denim are definitely “good items, that feel well, look well, and last for as long as they need to!

Please enjoy I Dig Denim! (our selection is available here, at our online shop)

Bobo Choses SS17 – the nicest campaign images this season

This is surely one of our favorite work of art this season. These pictures are beautiful, they transmit the mood of a calm and mature collection. The brand has grown but still looks playful and relaxed, in exact the right combination for pleasing small and big children alike, and even mothers enter our shop trying on the bigger sizes for themselves!

Bobo Choses SS17 – A LEGEND

We are glad to present the Bobo Choses SS17 collection: “A Legend” – a collection inspired by sport legends from around the world and through time.

Retro and comfortable shapes in different fabrics and beautiful washed colors.

Among the prints you can find Mr Badminton, some skating flamingos, John McEnroe’s broken tennis rackets, vintage volleyballs and many more!
Bobo Choses is also a brando that is  fully aware of the necessity to make environment friendly  products: this season, 48% of the SS17 production is Organic Cotton.

Besides that, most of the collection is – as always – produced in Europe.

The Animals Observatory SS17

Although winter is still very present we want to warm you up a little and lift the cloth so you can have a look at the new collection of TAO by Laia Aguilar.

For this new collection, Laia Aguilar wanted to express herself on each garment and traveled back to her old and personal memories that have inspired her through the years, such as, movies that she have saw, places that she went or even books that she read.

As a statement of this brand, once again, we can count with pieces with geometric shapes among their well-known illustrations and a beautiful range of colors, shades and great fabrics.

Bobo Choses AW16 – How to disappear

We are very happy to be a part of the Bobo Choses retailers, and to continue working with this group of creative and above all and very nice people that form the team of Bobo Choses.

The new collection, with drop 1 launching on July 7, 2016 at 10 AM CET, is called “How to disappear” and is all about magic. To be honest, the collection is magic and it was love at first sight when i saw it at Playtime last winter!

Bobo Choses has been continuously improving quality over the past years, and as of this season, a significant part of their knitted fabrics have been made of organic cotton made in India. This is a process in which no pesticides are used and water wastage is controlled, as the soil becomes more fertile and retains water better.

Drop 1 will include the “spoons” print, inspired by Uri Geller, the illusionist, who was famous for bending spoons. The spoons collection is part of the new sweatshirt collection, which is made of American fleece (320 gr with a wide  rib 8×2 finish) and organic cotton.

This season the shape of  sweatshirts has changed to make them more voluminous. They have a loose fit and  a knitted rib finish, and its trapezoidal shape allows for a nice fit for boys or girls.

The hooded sweatshirts will have knitted rib finish and raw edges, with  a straight fit, comfortable to wear for back to school or below a coat in winter.

The first drop will contain most  of the  references developed the wide rib 8×2 fabric, developed exclusively by Bobo Choses and coming in three different versions: two  coloured versions in yarn dye, and one in a plain colour ready to dye (PFD), which is GOTS certified and made in India.
The Spoons sweatshirt can be combined with one of the four midi skirts. Easy to wear, comfortable, with its elastic contrast waistband, it looks great at all ages!

We cannot post photos before the official launch, but rest assured that the we love those skirts!

And then, and sorry to make it so long, there will be the “hypnotized theme”, the illusion of lines. This part of the collection was developed in soft twill and can be combined well with other key articles from the collection, like the impossible glasses sweatshirt in American fleece, the magic powders T-shirt in organic GOT-certified cotton, or the  knits from Italy.

There are four references in soft twill; two skirts and  two slim fit trousers, with zip detailsand embroidered B.C. logo.

On Thursday we will reveal it all – here at Loja Dada for Kids (and all other authorized retailers around the world!) as well as of course the own Bobo Choses website.

Remember, anything can be possible with only so much as a little bit of magic powders while shouting ABRACADABRA!

(you will understand the collection is online!)
